TECH WEEKLY: Inside the Red Bull upgrade that helped Verstappen to Sprint victory in Austin

Formula 1

Red Bull came to the Circuit of The Americas after the four-week break with some significant upgrades to its RB20 – which seemed to work well, helping Max Verstappen to Sprint pole and victory, albeit still behind Ferrari in the Grand Prix.

The most visually obvious change was to the upper surface of the sidepod, which now ramps down at the rear more steeply, to give a different joining point with the floor. There were also changes to the floor edge wing, with greater camber in the last third of its length.
