Rallye Jeunes Celebrates 30 Years of Racing Excellence

FIA News

The French Federation of Automobile Sport (FFSA) is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Rallye Jeunes Yacco FFSA, a pioneering initiative that has launched the careers of some of the world’s top rally drivers. Established in 1994, this program has been instrumental in discovering and nurturing young racing talent.

Over the past three decades, Rallye Jeunes has been the starting point for numerous successful racers, including Sébastien Ogier, Sébastien Loeb, and Adrien Fourmaux. This year, the program marks its milestone anniversary with a fresh visual identity while maintaining its core mission: providing an accessible entry point into motorsports.

Aspiring racers can participate in selection competitions organised by the FFSA. The criteria for entry are simple: candidates must be of French nationality, be under 26 years old, and hold a B driving licence. FFSA membership is optional.

The upcoming selection competitions will be held at the following locations:

  • 12 – 13 October: Nancy
  • 23-27 October: Paris Games Week (SIMRACING Selection)
  • 09 – 11 November: La Réunion
  • 16 – 17 November: Dreux
  • 30 November – 1 December: Lyon
  • 07 – 08 December: Lédenon

Pierre Gosselin, President of the FFSA, said: “For 30 years, the French Federation of Automobile Sport has nurtured new champions through its Rallye Jeunes Yacco FFSA initiative. This unique experience, accessible to all, offers thousands of candidates the chance to pursue the highest levels in motorsport each season.

With a new Esports selection in 2024, we aim to provide young gamers with the opportunity to reach the final and show that moving from virtual to real racing is possible. Beyond detecting top talent, Rallye Jeunes Yacco FFSA promotes motorsport to a wide audience. I extend my sincere thanks to our partners, our Leagues, and all the volunteers who help us organise these selections in their regions.”

In 2023, Rallye Jeunes saw remarkable participation, with over 6,500 candidates showcasing their skills.
