Giacomo Altoe will start on pole position for race one of the Super Trofeo Pro class category of the Lamborghini World Finals at Vallelunga.
The Huracan driver set a 1m30.834s lap, 0.171s quicker than Clazzio Racing’s Kei Cozzolino.
Richard Muscat was third for Leipert Motorsport ahead of Kikko Galbiati and his team-mate Frederik Schandorff.
British racer James Pull starts sixth for Bonaldi Motorsport from American Trent Hindman.
In the qualifying for the Super Trofeo Pro-Am category, Edoardo Liberati set the pace with seven minutes of the session remaining.
Despite a spirited attempt by P1 Motorsport’s Loris Spinelli – who was quicker in sector one of his final run – he could not overhaul Liberati and finished in second, just 0.043s shy of the Italian’s best time of 1m31.321s.
Third in Pro-Am for race one was Stefano Colombo ahead of Finland’s Juuso Phuhakka.
In the battle for pole for tomorrow’s second race of the Lamborghini World Finals, David Zampieri was quickest in the Super Trofeo Pro class category.
Zampieri’s best time was 1m31.539s, two tenths faster than Kelvin Snoeks for Bonaldi Motorsport.
At the end of the session Snoeks eclipsed Afiq Yazid by just 0.055s to claim his front-row start.
Fourth overall was Artur Janosz ahead of Italian Vito Postiglione.
Midway through the qualifying session, a full course yellow was deployed after Fabian Vettel became beached in a gravel trap.
The brother of Formula 1 driver Sebastian had help from the marshals to return to the track, but he drove straight into the pits and failed to set a time. He starts tomorrow’s race in last place.
Qualifying for the second Super Trofeo Pro-Am class was headed by Dennis Lind, who eclipsed Emanuele Zonzini’s time with less than five minutes of the session remaining.
Zonzini had been the pacesetter, but ended up 0.143s off the Target Racing driver.
Italian Francesca Linossi was third quickest, 0.584s in arrears of the pole time, with Takeshi Matsumoto in fourth ahead of the VS Racing duo of Andrezeij Lewandowski and Takashi Kasai.
