Friday marked the end of the FIA’s Region II Conference in Cebu, the Philippines.

The three-day conference focused on mobility and road safety within Asia Pacific, with sessions on club successes and case studies, tourism, and mobility grants, among others.

The Region also welcomed Asia Pacific’s sporting delegates for conversations around Emerging Trends in Motorsport, and Motorsport in a Box, an FIA initiative which aims to support grassroots racing.

More than 70 delegates attended the event.

Over the course of the conference, the FIA reiterated its commitment to the region’s growth and success, publishing new research on EV trends across key markets in Asia Pacific. The research showed particularly significant growth in Japan, driven by new subsidies and government incentives.

The region’s three Innovation Challenge finalists were also recognised during a presentation session on Friday.

APAC’s delegates will reconvene at the FIA’s Annual General Assemblies in Kigali, Rwanda.
